GENDER BENT BROADWAY II
(A cabaret fundraiser for BAD Theatre Company)
CITY LIGHTS THEATER COMPANY ON 1/26 @ 7PM
Back by popular demand! "Gender Bent Broadway," the second fundraising cabaret for BAD Theatre Company, is a compilation of showtunes old and new...with a twist. Some of the Bay Area's best performers eliminate gender expectations by singing songs from roles they have always wanted to play. Join us with new tunes and new faces, featuring Chloë Angst, Kyle Arrouzet, Nique Eagen, Jomar Martinez, Brooklyn Page-Torres, Jocelyn Pickett and Karyn Rondeau.
A Bay Area native, Karyn has been performing for over 30 years as a stage actress, recording artist, national anthem singer, and cabaret performer. Passionate about using her talents for causes that foster positive change for our community, she's proudly partnered with like-minded artists to raise funds for The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and The American Civil Liberties Union. Recent stage credits include: Spamalot (Lady of the Lake), The Drowsy Chaperone (Chaperone), God of Carnage (Veronica), Urinetown (Pennywise), Les Misérables (Mme. Thénardier), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona). A regular national anthem performer she has sung at Levi's Stadium, the Alcatraz Challenge, and the Wildflower Triathlon.
